Bob Bovitch a founding member of Chapter 902 has written a book titled "Tribute to American Gold Star Mothers". His intent is to honor the Gold Star Mothers for their pain and undying devotion towards our military and their family members. Bob must have touched their hearts because the National President for the American Gold Star Mothers, Mary Jane Kiepe invited Bob to come to Arlington National Cemetery on September 30 for their 67th Anniversary "Gold Star Mothers Day". Bob was escorted to this ceremony by his cousins Mike and Don McKenzie. Don is a retired Navy Captain. Bob and his cousins were inspired by events that took place with the Gold Star Mothers and the sensitivity and honor that Arlington National Cemetery shows in honor of our fallen heroes.

They were given to Bob by the Veterans Music Ministry so that he could hand them out to the Gold Star Mothers and to other people who attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Bob and his cousins were invited to the American Gold Star Mothers Headquarters building. There, Bob handed out copies of his book and Band Aid for the Heart pins.
